Under the theory that there r others out there with comp knowledge as small as mine..i will pass this along....
I use 2 different internet browsers...for me both r useful......
sumtimes with internet explorer i got to use right click ...save target as..i save it to teh desktop...just to get the dam song to play....with firefox a left clicks seems to work fine.....beats me i just keep tryin til something works....
When i start to play/download an item.....for the purposes of this site...a song, movieline or video
....the one browser always asks me whether i want to Open the item or Save it to the disk....which usually means desktop.....i always choose Save....
The other browser used to do this but now for a reason i do not know.... just starts the Windows Media Player as soon as i initiate the download.....like an auto Open function....when that happens the file is not saved..
In this case u can use the Save As feature of the WMP....under File, in the WMP header......if the intention is to save the file...
With the file saved to the desktop u can play the song , movieline , video at any time(usually just double click it)...u no longer need to be connected to the internet to play it....
Also this helps with this sites bandwidth considerations in avoiding unnecessary downloads....it is a win ..win situation.....
Blah, blah....most of u already knew this...but myself as i have already said did not understand this for a long time after i had my comp...lmao...that's just me.....
Btw, the amazon rtd song segments...cannot be saved... they r asx file types....and do not lend themselves to saving.....
Also there r sum classic rock and a couple jazz, plus 3 leo kottke(legendary 12 string guitar player) songs(approx 40?) posted for free download....if the daily limit is exceeded...it will reset using a 24 hour scale..
